​QSBRI Inc. specializes in commercializing patented technology in the energy sector with a strong focus on heating and solar heating applications.  Working with Dr. Stephen Harrison, the director of the Solar Calorimetric Laboratory at Queen’s University, QSBRI works to develop new Intellectual Property and seeks licensing partners worldwide.

Our Management Team

Stephen Harrison

​​Dr. Stephen J. Harrison, P.Eng., is the Director of the Queen's Solar Calorimetry Laboratory located at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He has worked in the solar industry for more than 30 years and holds numerous patents in solar thermal technology.

Dr. Harrison and his research team are currently conducting fundamental applied research and development projects in the fields of heat transfer, energy conversion, and solar thermal and photovoltaic energy systems.

Ben Stinson

​​Ben Stinson, Managing Partner at QSBR Innovations Inc., has over a decade of experience in the sales and marketing side of the retail and commercial products sector.  He also works hands on in the lab, playing a significant role in the creation, development, testing, and production of various new technologies.

Robert Stinson

​Robert Stinson, MBA, and Managing Director of QSBR Innovations Inc., has a background in sales and marketing, having 30 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. Working with Dr. Harrison through QSBR Innovations Inc., Robert brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of international business, negotiations and relationship management to the company. 

Current Projects

QSBRI is currently commercializing two innovative technologies: Passive Back Flow (PBF) and Integral Stagnation Control (ISC).  These two technologies are the result of years of research and development by Dr. Stephen Harrison and have a decade of tested, recorded experience. Both have numerous applications in the global solar and HVAC industries and QSBRI is currently working with partners to develop these technologies into commercial successes .
